Plum Crumble

Deep plum hydrangea and spidery copper-red chrysanthemums, softened by peach garden roses, pink snapdragons and lisianthus. A rust amaranthus tassel spills over one side and red berries pick up the darkest notes. Autumn colours, warm rather than heavy.

Roughly 50 cm across and 60 cm tall, in a round gold hatbox about 20 cm wide. The footprint is small, and the height comes from the snapdragons. It suits a console, a sideboard, a reception desk or a gift handed over in person. On a dinner table it stands above eye level, so it works better as a statement piece than as a low centrepiece.

Scent: light. A green, herbal note from the chrysanthemums and eucalyptus, nothing sweet.

Pets: not pet-safe as photographed. The ASPCA lists hydrangea, chrysanthemum, hypericum and eucalyptus as toxic to cats and dogs. Tell us there is an animal in the house and we will rebuild the same autumn palette from safe flowers, at no extra charge.

Arrives finished in its box and needs no vase. Made to order from the flowers that came in fresh that morning, so the exact mix shifts a little.

Dressing a whole room? We can build smaller arrangements, a matching bouquet and single stems in the same plum, peach and copper, so a table, a reception desk or an event reads as one set. Write to us and tell us about the space.
