Blue Hydrangea Arrangement

Two blue hydrangea heads carry the whole piece, with yellow and clear orange scattered through them and white to stop it turning heavy. A hard colour contrast rather than a gradient — blue against yellow is the whole idea.

Roughly 40 cm across and 45 cm tall, in a white wrapped box. Taller and rounder than our table pieces, so put it where it is seen from across a room — a hallway console, a reception desk, or handed over in person. This one is not a low centrepiece: on a dinner table it will block the view across.

Scent: noticeable, and worth knowing before you order. The yellow pompons are marigolds, and marigolds smell sharp and herbal — people either like it or really don't. Say the word and we will build the same colours without them.

Pets: not pet-safe, and this one more seriously than most. The ASPCA lists hydrangea, delphinium and marigold as toxic to cats and dogs. Delphinium is the one to take seriously — it can cause tremors and weakness rather than just an upset stomach. If there is an animal in the house, tell us and we will rebuild the same blue-and-yellow look from safe flowers, at no extra charge.

Arrives finished in its box and needs no vase. Made to order from the flowers that came in fresh that morning, so the exact mix shifts a little.
